This story is about two children from the same neighbourhood who became friends.
(This story took place during the winter season.)

  • One winter day, when Jack returned from school, his mother asked him to go out and play in the snow.
  • At first he refrained(stop oneself) from going out due to the cold weather but later as his mother gave him an idea to build a snowman before his father comes home, he got excited and went out after putting on his coat, hat and gloves.
  • He started planning to build his snowman by using a carrot for snowman's nose and some other things for the hat and face.
  • He collected many things to decorate his snowman in a bucket.
  • He started building his snowman by rolling the snow into a big ball.
  • While Jack was making his snowman in his front yard, his new neighbourNaoko was watching him play from her window.
  • As Naoko's mother gave her the permission to go out and help Jack to build his snowman, a smile of joy and satisfaction lit up her eager(keen) face.
  • After putting on her winter clothes with the help of her mother, Naoko ran towards Jack's yard.
  • Both the mothers promised their children that they will watch them build the snow man from the window.
