PART 4, lesson 1 (continued) A Daughter's Love.

 Welcome back boys!😊😊 Hope you had a restful, two-day break!   Time to continue where we left on Day 3 . 

 Please check the order of  your written work done till now. 

In your  Literature exercise book, you should have completed noting down  from my previous blogs  :----
  • the  new words  and their meanings
  • antonyms of  five   words from the story.
  • answer the following questions from 1. to 4.
  • Think and answer , question nos. 5 and 6.

We begin today's class by going through the answers of question no. 5 and 6.  Please check if they are correct. You may have worded them in a different way but if they are grammatically correct , then you may not erase your answers and copy them again.

Why do you think King Lear was unhappy about  Cordelia's reply?

ANS:- King Lear was unhappy about Cordelia's reply because he found it hard to believe that Cordelia had only felt a sense of duty towards him and not loved him greatly.

How do we know Cordelia truly loved her father?

ANS:- Cordelia  did not make a show of her love  and did not stop worrying about his health . 
She decided to attack England  and rescue Lear, (her father)  despite being  disowned by him. She was concerned about him till the end.

ii  )  What made the speaker say this? 
---Lear said this when he was angered by Cordelia's reply that she loved him as she should . Neither more nor less.

i)      Who said these words and to whom?
--- Cordelia said this to her father, King Lear.
ii)      What had the listener said earlier?
----- King Lear, ( the listener) had said how  he missed her and  wanted her forgiveness for causing her pain. 
iii)     Where did the speaker and the listener meet? 
-----They both met in prison.
